June 24th Meet @ Westport

Location: Westport Swim Club 2525 Shanklin Lane, Denver, NC 28037

Warm Ups

Westport – Warm up 5:10-5:30PM

Cowans - Warm up 5:30-5:55PM

**Please make sure all swimmers arrive by 5:15PM to ensure you can park, get set up and your swimmer will be ready to begin warm-ups promptly!!

***Do not arrive to Westport before 5:00pm. (They need to give their members time to leave, clean to pool deck and open spots in the parking lot)

Please mark your swimmers: event – heat – lane AND swimmer names on their backs! **Please note, we have an event 0, for the 6u mixed free relay. This is not a mistake, please mark your swimmer accordingly.

Parking

There will be a drop off circle in the club parking lot near the pickle ball courts. Parking attendants will direct traffic. Once the parking lot is full, cars will be directed to the golf course parking lot (located on Golf Course Drive S.). There is a walkway from the golf course parking lot to the main parking lot for easy walking access. Do not park along Shanklin Lane or Golf Course Drive in front of homes or in posted no parking zones. There is some open area along Golf Course Drive for roadside parking.

Seating/Clerk of Course

Parent seating for Westport AND Cowans parents will be behind the clubhouse on a concrete patio area, in addition to limited space on the pool deck. Please bring chairs. No tents allowed on the pool deck. But there is room for tents in the patio area.

Swimmer seating for both teams will be on the pool deck. Please see map.

Parent access to the pool deck will be limited to help run the meet efficiently. Please sit only in designated parent seating areas.

The Clerk of Course will be located near the slides. We would love to run a joint clerk behind the slides. There should be plenty of space behind the slide to gather separately and then place kids in heats together. 

Food and Drinks

Absolutely no outside alcohol. All alcohol must be purchased in the clubhouse according to NC ABC laws. We have a wide selection of wine and beer for sale, as well as non-alcoholic options.

Clubhouse will be serving pizza, BBQ, burgers, hotdogs, corn dogs, nachos, soft pretzels, ice cream and candy and a variety of non alcoholic beverages. See attached menu for pricing. Food purchases are CASH only.  Credit cards will be accepted at the bar for alcohol purchases.

Dry adult customers please order food inside or drinks at the bar. All wet customers- please use the outside window.

Volunteers

Check in table for both teams located on the lower level of the clubhouse by the bathrooms and gym. The computer table will be on the upper deck of the clubhouse by the snack bar.

Timer/Runners- 1^st and 2^nd shift – meet at 5:45 near the starting area.
Stroke and Turn Judges- 1^st and 2^nd shift- Meet near starting area at 5:45

5:45PM – Timers & Stroke & Turn meeting – at starter area

5:55pm Events 0 lined up behind the block / or opposite end of pool and events 1&2 lined up in Clerk

6PM Star Spangled banner and immediately after Event 0 starts

All Pickle Ball and Tennis Courts are closed to swimmers and parents.
Restrooms are located downstairs at the clubhouse.
Baby pool is closed during swim meet/warm ups.
