Next Week's Meet & Meet Etiquette
Hello Parents!
Next week's home meet is open! Go declare your swimmers and sign up for volunteer roles! Declarations are due by Tuesday 6/16/26 at midnight. This allows coaches time to make relays on Wednesday to be ready to go for Thursday.

MEET ETIQUETTE
I also want to take a moment to address meet etiquette. We are aware of several situations that occurred at Thursday's meet. One being alcohol. We understand we're used to being at facilities that either sell it or allow it onsite. Stanley Swim Club does not have a liquor license and could be cited for allowing alcohol on premises. Or be bankrupted by a lawsuit if a person under the influence injured themselves or someone else. For that reason, parents were asked by the president of the Stanley Swim Club, who was in attendance to support the swim team, to put away alcohol. When asked, someone stared at them and proceeded to drink their drink instead of simply putting it away. At which point, the president proceeded to approach Stanley's head coach to shut the meet down for said-behavior. While I understand no alcohol was not communicated prior to the meet: as a team/organization I know we can do better in representing ourselves. When asked, the drinks should have been put away.
That said, we are also aware of how a few other things were not necessarily handled with the grace they deserved throughout the meet. We want you to know: we've heard your concerns and we are communicating that directly with Stanley as well.
If anyone has any questions, or would like to share any feedback about something they experienced Thursday, please feel to reach out to one of the coaches, Angie or myself.
We love this team and want to see it continue to succeed!
